Marie Terese Wright

WRIGHT, Marie Terese (nee O’Connell). Born on 21st August 1936 in Bulls to beloved parents Evelyn Mabel and Daniel Maurice O’Connell, Marie passed away peacefully at North Shore Hospital on the morning of Saturday 18th October 2025 with Michelle by her side; aged 89 years. Loved by her family; her late husband Jack, her late son Stephen, her daughter Michelle, and her grandson Louis, as well as her very many friends. Marie was a very strong lady who endured so much. Rest in Peace our beautiful mother. You are most certainly loved. Your warmth and kindness reached many people indeed. “Always Believe in Yourself.” A Service to Celebrate Marie’s life will be held at the chapel of Forrest Funeral Services, 39 Riverside Road, Orewa at 1pm on Thursday 23 October 2025, prior to interment at the Puhoi Cemetery.
