Please join us in celebrating Neil Robert Metcalfe's life
METCALFE, Neil Robert
Passed away peacefully on 3rd October 2026 at Evelyn Page Hospital, aged 88 years.
A much-loved friend, companion and a very special part of our lives. An accomplished trumpet player and gifted draftsman, Neil had a remarkable eye for detail and a quiet passion for doing things well. His friendship, warmth, cheeky laugh and unique character will be deeply missed by Truusje and Brendon, and by his sister Sandra Huffer and niece Claire Huffer.
Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Evelyn Page Village Hospital and Special Care Unit for the kindness and devotion they gave Neil over the past few years. Their compassion and dedication meant so much to us.
A service to remember and celebrate Neil’s life will be held at the Chapel of Forrest Funeral Services, 39 Riverside Road, Orewa, on Tuesday 13th October 2026 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.
