BLACKBURN, James Frank (Jim). 14340 RNZN CPO Jim passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday 16th August 2026 at Te Mana Hospital, surrounded by his family; aged 100 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan. Much loved father and father in law of Alan and Debbie, Jimmy and Gwenda, and the late Robbie. Adored Grandfather of Suzie, Tina, Daniel, Helen, Louise, Lisa, Julia and Angela, a Great Grandfather of 18 and a Great Great Grandfather of 9. A Service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at the St Christopher’s Chapel, Devonport Naval Base, on Tuesday 25th August 2026 at 1pm. In accordance with Naval regulations those attending the funeral must contact Forrest Funeral Services, office@forrests.co.nz, to register their attendance by 4.30pm Monday 24th August. Please ensure that you have photo ID to ensure your access onto the Base.
